Abstract

The quality of work life is considered one of the administrative issues that has occupied a distinguished place in the literature of human resources management and organizational behavior. It enhances institutional performance and provides job security for the worker to achieve sustainable professional development. Therefore, the study aimed to evaluate the impact of the quality of work life on improving the level of performance of faculty members at the Higher Institutes of Tourism and Hotels. In the canal cities, by identifying the availability of dimensions of the quality of work life (physical, social, organizational),As well as identifying the availability of the dimensions of the level of performance (teaching, research, community service) among faculty members at the higher institutes of tourism and hotels in the canal cities. To achieve these goals, the descriptive method of analytical and correlational quality was used, as the study sample included (80) faculty members. At the Higher Institutes of Tourism and Hotels in the Canal Cities, they were divided according to their academic degrees into (teacher, assistant professor, and professor). The study tools included a standardized and precise questionnaire, and the data was analyzed using the SPSS statistical program.The study recommends the need to pay attention to raising the quality of work life for faculty members in the higher institutes of tourism and hotels in the canal cities by seeking to identify the problems that constitute professional and life pressures and helping them to solve and increase the level of teaching ,research performance and community service.
