The Mediating Role of Green Reputation in the Relationship between Green Human Resource Management and the Sustainability of Competitive Advantage in Egyptian Tourism Companies

Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the impact of green human resources management on each of the green organizational reputation and the sustainability of the competitive advantage in the Egyptian tourism companies category (A), as well as measuring the impact of the green organizational reputation on the sustainability of the competitive advantage in the Egyptian tourism companies category (A). The study also aimed to explore the mediating role of the green organizational reputation in the relationship between green human resource management and the sustainability of the competitive advantage in the Egyptian tourism companies category (A). To achieve the objectives of the study; The researchers designed a questionnaire, which was distributed electronically and on paper to a random sample of managers and heads of departments in tourism companies category (A) in the governorates of Cairo and Giza. 482 questionnaires were distributed, while only 428 valid questionnaires were analyzed. The results of the study showed that there is a significant and positive effect of green human resource management on enhancing the green organizational reputation and the sustainability of the competitive advantage of category (A) tourism companies. The results also depicted that the green organizational reputation plays a full mediating role in enhancing the impact of green human resources management on the sustainability of the competitive advantage in the category (A) tourism companies
