Abstract

This research aims to create a contracting management in Egyptian hotels in order to strengthen their financial and legal position in all contractual processes, especially the lodging contracting. The research depended on the descriptive approach in literature review, and on the analytical approach in the field study. The latter is mainly based on obtaining some copies of the original contracts signed between tour operators and hotels in Sharm El-Sheikh. The collected contracts were analyzed to determine the most important risks and problems included in such contracts due to the lack of a contracting management and assigning this task to sales managers. The results revealed the most important contractual risks in which Egyptian hotels are located. The study recommends hotel establishments in Egypt to create a contracting management, and it also introduced a set of practical suggestions to protect Egyptian hotels from these risks.
