Assessing the availability of Change Management Requirements in the Egyptian Air Lines

Abstract

The study aims to shed light on the concept of change management and its adaptations. Also to assess the requirements of change management including environmental changes, conditions, regulation and management policies as well as employees development policies. This will be achieved through a self-administered questionnaire addressed to the employees in the Egyptian air companies. The results indicated that the most prominent requirement is the clarification of the employees’ development policies. Other identified requirements through this investigation were: clearing the concept of change management, identifying whether the Air companies analyse the external environmental changes, highlighting the regulation and management policies in the Egyptian air companies. The results revealed significant differences among respondents based on their years of experience and their awareness and perceptions towards these requirements. Recommendations are given to provide decision makers with realistic data and help them adopt policies and procedures that will enhance the positive aspects and give up the negatives. This will improve the performance of the Egyptian air lines, and raise the level of their performance and give them the opportunity to progress.
