Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of digital transformation in improving early warning systems and managing tourism crises in the valleys of the eastern coast of the Dead Sea, and this research constitutes a field study aimed at analyzing how to apply digital transformation techniques such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things in developing early warning systems in these tourist areas, and the study highlights the challenges and opportunities associated with the use of these technologies in the face of natural and human crises that affect the sector Tourist. The results show that the digital transformation has greatly contributed to enhancing the tourism response to crises, by providing accurate data in time and improving coordination between the relevant authorities, and the study showed the effectiveness of these systems in enhancing safety and confidence in tourists, which helped enhance the sustainability of tourism in the region. At the same time, some challenges related to the application of these systems, such as a lack of digital infrastructure in some areas, were identified, and recommendations included enhancing digital infrastructure, providing training programs for workers in the tourism sector, And enhancing cooperation between different bodies to implement early warning systems in an effective and sustainable manner.
