The Impact of Transformational Leadership on the Performance of Employees in Egyptian Tourism Companies (Category A)

Abstract

Transformational leadership has gained great importance in tourism companies, due to its effective contribution to maintaining the unification of employees’ efforts directing them, and shifting the career path from one employee to another, In light of this; I aimed for this study to know the impact of the transformational leadership style on the performance of employees in Egyptian tourism companies. The study also aimed to find out the nature of the relationship between transformational leadership and the performance of workers in Egyptian tourism companies. The method used was to design a questionnaire directed to workers in Egyptian tourism companies. A simple random sample was chosen from the study population, with a total size of 250 questionnaires, of which 76 questionnaires were retrieved and the remaining 174. A questionnaire suitable for statistical analysis, and the descriptive analytical approach was used using the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences program SPSS to analyze and interpret the study data. The results of the study were that there was a statistically significant effect of transformational leadership on the performance of employees in Egyptian tourism companies, and there was a statistically significant effect of the dimensions of transformational leadership on the performance of employees in the company under study. The recommendations of the study were the necessity of using modern and advanced administrative methods that include: Training and qualification courses to train these administrative leaders on the attributes and characteristics of transformational leadership to achieve high performance rates that exceed all expectations.
