Abstract

Information systems have become the basis for generating economic, social, and scientific wealth, as it is an integrated set of functions that provide the administration with information that contributes to making appropriate decisions to achieve the objectives of the organization. Total quality management is one of the most important and most widely used modern management concepts to develop work methods in its various fields.
The study aims to find out the impact of the application of total quality management information systems on improving the job performance of employees in Egyptian tourism companies. The study community consists of all employees of the Egyptian tourism companies category ”A” and the study sample consists of a random sample of employees in the Egyptian tourism companies category ”A” in the Governorate of Cairo, (350) individuals. The study used the descriptive approach by reviewing the theoretical aspect of the various basic concepts related to the subject of the study, and the analytical approach to the applied aspect through the use of the questionnaire form as a tool for collecting data for the study.
The results of the study concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between the application of total quality management information systems and improving the job performance of employees in Egyptian tourism companies category” A”, which is a positive relationship. The study recommended the necessity of providing training programs for employees of Egyptian tourism companies on the mechanisms of applying total quality and ways to enhance it.
