Abstract

This research aims to review the importance of events in showing and improving the real mental image of Egypt as a local and international tourist destination, especially in light of the direction of the Egyptian government represented by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities towards increasing interest in the recent organization of events, perhaps the most important of which is the legendary procession to transport the royal mummies to the Museum of Civilization The events, especially the cultural and archaeological events, are considered among the most important factors in stimulating and stimulating the internal and external tourism movement to Egypt, as these events highlight the factors of tourist attraction and give a historical and introductory tourist background for these components inside and outside Egypt, the study followed the analytical descriptive approach supported by the methods of statistical analysis, and a questionnaire was designed for a random sample of 200 tourists, and the descriptive answers were converted into quantitative values that can be subjected to statistical analysis. The general results of the study showed several results, the most important of which is that there are no statistically significant differences between the opinions of the study sample about the importance of events to show the true image of Egypt as a tourist destination, as well as about the importance of the procession of transporting the royal mummies to the Museum of Civilization, and it was found that there is a significant correlation between the size of the events (the effectiveness of the procession of transporting the royal mummies to the Museum of Civilization) and improving the real image of Egypt as a tourist destination.
