Iwnyt as a consort of Sobek
Mofida

Hafez
Goddess Iwnyt was incorporated into the local ennead of Karnak in the New kingdom. Along with the goddess Tennyt, she was venerated as the consort of the ancient falcon war god Montu in the town of Armant (Hermonthis). Her name means 'she of Armant' and although the goddess first appears in reliefs dated to the reign of Mentuhotep III of the 11th dynasty, it is thought that she may have been worshipped there from early times. It is perhaps possible that she is the goddess of the same name mentioned in the Pyramid Texts (PT.1066). The female deity Raet, although known from the Theban region, seems to be related to Iwnyt and may possibly represents a solar aspect of the goddess of Armant. The aim of the research is to focus on the relation between Iwnyt and Sobek through the scenes and its accompanied texts in the temples of the New kingdom

The King Unas after his Death
Abeer
Amin
The role played by ancient Egyptian Kings was not limited to their lifetime, but also for some of them, their role continued after their death. This is indicated in the form of the post mortem veneration or deification. It reflects the fame of those kings during lifetime as well as their important deeds. The cults of the deified kings after their death seem to have been limited to specific sites and did not prevail all over the country. These sites were either the place of birth or the place in which the funerary complexes of the kings were erected. However, there are few exceptions. This article deals with the documents showing the veneration of the king Unas after his death.

Three Stelae of Tiberius from Qift
Sherin
Hafez
The town of Qift Gbtyw, KOIITTOS was the capital of the fifth upper Egyptian Nome. Min was the principal god of Qift. He was connected with Isis, Horus the child and Geb ―particularly during the Greco – Roman period. The southern temple of Qift was built by Nectanebo II (gate), Ptolemy XII, Cleopatra VII and her son Caesarion (hypostyle hall). This temple was dedicated to Geb and Isis. The northern part of the southern temple was built by Tiberius Claudius for goddess Isis and her son Horus the child. Twenty five stelae were found in the site, written in hieroglyphic and in Greek inscriptions. Latin has a minor presence compared to Greek and Demotic. This paper aims to study three stelae dated to the reign of the emperor Tiberius. It also studies the depiction of Emperor Tiberius in these stelae instead of the priests of Isis at Qift. Nowadays two of them are in the Egyptian Museum CG. 9286, CG 9268 and the third one is in Leiden Museum F.1969

The Relationship between the Main Gods of EI-Baharyah Province and the Goddess Neith during the Late Period
Mofida

Mosleh
Traditionally conceived as the creator of all deities, the goddess Neith played an important role in the ancient Egyptian religion. She held a number of different features, such as the fierce goddess of war, symbol of lightning, patron of weaving, inundation and protector of the deceased's body. Many objects of the Late Period ― found at the ancient sites of the Bahyreh province ― reveal the religious aspects of the goddess Neith in the Western side of the Bolbitine Branch. This research proves that the goddess Neith was the main goddess of the Western Delta, especially the land lying between the Bolbotine and Canopic Branches of the Nile. The goddess Neith gained the greatest prominence by the 26 th dynasty's pharaohs, particularly at their capital Sais in the Western side of the Delta. There, she became the state deity of Egypt down to the 30 th dynasty and Ptolemaic Period. Neith was very deep-rooted goddess connected with the Delta.

The Egyptian god ‘Min’ had many roles in Egyptian life and religion. He was a god of fertility, and protection. The Eastern desert and the Red sea hills were the original homeland of 'Min' as a protector god. This is the reason of depicting Red Sea shells and saw-fish on his three colossal statues excavated at Coptos. Two of these statues are on display in Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, and the third is in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. This study includes hieroglyphic texts and scenes associated with 'Min's' protecting role. The researcher get benefit from Previous studies about ‘Min’ and his role in protecting the desert together with the Nubian (MDAyw ) scouts. This study focuses on the protector role of god ‘Min’ in the desert as place of danger and threat.

A Papyrus-carrying scene from the Tomb of Ukhhotep son of Senbi (B 2) at Meir
Heba
Mahran
Ancient Egyptians made use of almost every natural aspect in their environment and pictured that in their tombs. Papyrus was one of the plants that grew naturally in Egypt across the Nile river. The ancients used it extensively in many things, but the most important thing that made Egyptian papyrus widely known; even in modern times, was using it as a writing material. The ancient Egyptian workers used to collect papyrus from the marshes stack it in piles, and then use the plant after processing in various things. The gathering and carrying of papyrus was represented in many scenes; while workers carried the papyrus piles in different positions.
The present study will explain the papyrus carrying scene that occurred on the walls of the tomb of Ukhhotep son of Senbi (B 2) at Meir. A description well be made for the scene and a comparison will be conducted with similar scenes from the Old and New Kingdoms. This will express the originality of the scene and the skill of the local artists at Meir in expressing difficult carrying positions and distinctive features of workers.

Heba
Abdel Naby
This research aims to study the scenes of lovers in Persian painting from the fourteenth to the end of the seventeenth centuries. The studied scenes classified into two types; the first include paintings with famous love stories in Persian literature, of these; Khusraw and Shirin, Layla and Majnun, Yusuf and Zulaykha, Bahram Gur and Azda. Those paintings were depicting the important episodes of the story. The second type includes paintings that were either accompanying lyrical poetry or independent. During the 17 th century such paintings were representing couples or lovers in postures reflecting intimacy and liberation. The research, therefore, aims to study the two paintings' types; to compare between them and explain their features. It also aims to clear the reasons that led to appearing and accept of daring scenes of lovers that reflect closeness, liberty and eroticism.

Celebrating the Dead in Ayyūbid Egypt: A Survey into Meaning and Architectural Manifestation
Essam
Ayyad
Although the commemoration of the dead is a universal and a long-standing tradition, early Islam is widely known to have resisted it. After a relatively long period of observing prevention, such an antique practice nonetheless found its way to Islamic culture. It is true that celebrating the dead was introduced to the realm of Islam before the Shīʿī Fatimids founded their caliphate in Tunisia in 296/909, but it was under them that this praxis reached the zenith. The Fatimids were succeeded by the Ayyūbids who, in spite of being a zealous Sunnī dynasty, upheld the tradition of celebrating the departed notables, particularly the pious ones (awliyāʾ). The aim in this paper is to explore how such a practice, which is widely deemed unorthodox in the eye of Sunnī Islam, was maintained in Egypt under the Ayyūbids (567/1172-648/1250). In particular, the paper attempts to give an insight into: (i) the types of the dead dignitaries that were celebrated under the Ayyūbids; (ii) the features that must be existing in their biographies so as to be canonized―in the Islamic sense; (iii) the architectural expressions that were employed to celebrate their memory; (iv) and the meaning of such a procedure.

L’Impact de la Femme sur La Civilisation du Caire Islamique
Radwa
Omar

Investigating the effectiveness of the performance appraisal process in the Egyptian tourism companies
Samar
Saad
There is evidence that the process of performance appraisal has a considerable influence on the organizational success, in addition to employees’ attitude and behavior within the workplace. The present study examined the effectiveness of the performance appraisal process conducted in Egyptian tourism companies. Results indicated that most companies use performance appraisal as a tool to enhance employees’ performance rather than an “outcome distributer” tool for making promotion, merit pay or dismissing decisions. Further, the procedural justice of the performance appraisal process is, to a large extent, not guaranteed. Results also revealed that the majority of the sampled companies conducts nearly unproductive feedback sessions with low employee participation. The proposed conclusions and implications may provide managers with insights into the current practice of the appraisal process, in addition to how to enhance the benefits obtained from it.

The purpose of this study is to highlight the important role of Electronic Customer Relationship Management for tourism sector in Egypt from the Egyptian travel agencies' viewpoint. A survey approach was implemented to collect data from 350 respondents from travel agencies using a completed questionnaire technique. The outcomes of the present study show that travel agencies in Egypt still need more efforts to achieve successful CRM, through the implementation of applications. The study also describes the e-CRM models of interaction between tourism companies and their customers at both local and global levels. Determining the critical factors of the tourism value chain: An importance-performance analysis
Azza
Maher
Toka
Mahrous
The value chain is a chain of activities that a firm operating in a specific industry performs in order to present a valuable product or service for the market. To manage the tourism product as an end-to-end seamless product, a tourism value chain concept should be developed, despite the huge performance measurement literature for the manufacturing industries little research has been conducted for the tourism industry. Although great emphasis is given to service quality and customer satisfaction issues and their link to the business performance in the tourism industry, it is surprising not to see a customer-oriented approach in the tourism value chain. The present study tries to sweep over this limitation as its primary aim is to investigate the tourism value chain fish bone model in order to attain effective improvement in the tourism value chain. To accomplish this end, this study used an importance-performance analysis (IPA), to examine customers' perceived importance and operation of six factors that may influence the overall character and efficiency of the value chain process. The six investigated factors were: “Frontier service”, “Tours and excursions”, “Tour operators”, “Transport related services”, “Accommodation service”, and “Other service”. The IPA grids have illustrated that the Tour operators and Transport Related Services factors fell into the Concentrate here quadrant; accommodation services and tours and excursions in the Keep up the good work quadrant; and other services and Frontier Services in the Low Priority quadrant. No attribute has been identified in the Possible Overkill quadrant.

Nowadays, integrating corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives into business is an important challenge facing organizations development. Corporations that embrace this concept reap many benefits including customer loyalty, positive attitudes toward brands, customer trust, positive publicity and better financial performance.Increased spending on CSR initiatives is expected to increase customer satisfaction and build competitive advantage. In today’s competitive airline business environment, companies are striking to retain their existing customers and gain the repurchase intention of customers. As a result, an increasing number of airlines have implemented CSR initiatives. Accordingly, Customer loyalty becomes one of the most essential consumers behaviors that airlines endeavor to influence through the use of corporate social responsibility as a marketing tool in their strategies. Therefore, this paper aims at exploring the relationship between corporate social responsibility and customer loyalty in the airline industry. It also tries to discover the main critical factors that have more effect on social responsibility in the airline industry. To achieve the purposes of this paper, a model was developed to measure the influence of airlines corporate social responsibility activities in customer loyalty andairline image. This model includes 16 attributes, which have been selected to cover airlines CRS activities, and 21 initial items for measuring customer loyalty. The proposed model was presented as a self administrated questionnaire. The sample chosen in this study includes mainly international airlines passengers (727 passengers). Furthermore, the analysis of simple linear regression and spearman correlation are applied. The results of this study confirm that there is a significance statistical relationship between airlines CRS activities and customer loyalty. The internet is playing an increasingly important role in the way consumers’ research and reserve travel and lodging. Hotels of various class levels differ with respect to their property features and target markets. Given this, one may reasonably expect a hotel’s website to reflect its market position and the interests of its target market. The hotel industry is dynamic and accompanied by rapid changes. The new Virtual Reality frontier marks another competition point for hospitality firms. Embracing the new opportunities presented by the internet can put a hotel at a significant advantage over those that choose not to emphasize this increasingly vital marketing tool. Virtual Reality is a technology that enables the design and implementation of new paradigms for human computer interaction applicable in various application domains. A new and mostly unexplored field for Virtual Reality enhanced applications is tourism. The main advantage in the application of Virtual Reality environments is in the marketing and promotion of tourism destinations and services. Especially, the special and exploratory nature of both Virtual Reality and tourism is an ideal factor to bring these two areas together. By the use of brochures, magazines, films, or videos people are already applying their power of imagination to experience new holiday destinations.

Attitude of Customers and Employees towards the Environmental Management Systems (EMSs) in the Egyptian Hotel Industry

Research into environmental management systems (EMSs) began in the late 1990s with studies that focused on the driving forces, costs and benefits and nature of such systems. However, very little research has been done to investigate the attitude of hotels stakeholders towards such systems. In recognition of this gap, this research studies the attitude of both of customers and employees –as two main stakeholders-towards EMSs in the Egyptian industry. A single case study design in which a mixed methodology of both quantitative and qualitative approaches was employed to fulfill the research objectives. Semi-structured interviews with three levels of employees – executive, supervisory and general and a structured questionnaire distributed to the hotel customers were employed as data collection tools. The findings revealed that customers have a positive attitude towards environment. However, despite this positive attitude, findings revealed that there is no significant relationship between customer attitude towards environment and their willingness to pay. Findings, also, provided some significant contributors that boost the positive attitude of customers towards green practices in hotels. From the employees' perspective, results indicated that commitment to the EMS is negatively affected if the adoption of the system by the company was perceived to be merely a means to save costs, improve company image and attract green customers. The study provides valuable insights to help hotels managers design their own strategies and policies which entails most of the environment related attributes which the customers and employees alike are concerned with. Knowing these attributes would enable hotels attract more segments of customers and increases their market share.
