In the last few decades, Information Technology has deeply affected the way business is performed and the way that organizations compete. The tourism and travel industry is particularly affected by these developments. Therefore, this study aims to define information technology and its impacts on tourism industry; this is done through a theoretical study which identifies IT and its applications in the sector of tourism suppliers and the effect of using these applications on the work of travel agents, in particular the way that these agents distribute their products. A field study also has been conducted on a sample of travel agents (category A) in Cairo to examine the use of the IT applications in these agents. The general results of the study: 1. There is an attitude towards disinter mediating the role of travel agents, and this was done when airline companies and hotels began to use the internet as a substitute for the travel agents. 2. Most of the travel agencies use their sites on the internet only in announcing their services and activities and to show their programs. . 3. Although various IT applications represent a challenge for tourism companies, they also have many advantages. Recommendations: 1.Egyptian travel agencies have to make use of the internet which is considered an important marketing tool by making simple, attractive and exiting websites. 2. Tourism suppliers have to reconsider their underestimation of travel agents and their roles in tourism sector. 3- it's important to make an Egyptian information network in order to link all the travel agents in Egypt.

The Coastal Areas are considered as one of the most important natural sources which could be used in tourism activities. Also they’re considered as one of the most important area of touristic attraction all over the world, which have the first grade of international touristic attraction areas. This appears on coasts of Mediterranean Region which has the first grade of international touristic attraction areas. Also it has alone more than third of the hole the international tourist movement, this results front what the region enjoy with many possibilities and tourist attractions. Despite the great importance of tourism which the Mediterranean basin supplies to many countries of its coast, Egypt still suffering from a great decrease in international touristic Move for its coasts along the Mediterranean, as this region in Egypt depends mainly on internal tourism for most of this region. This picture appears clearly by comparing Egypt with other countries in the same region which could be much similar to Egypt in natural conditions, geographic, political and economic conditions. This happened although Egyptian northern coasts have great constituents of touristic attraction not only very important, but also it is more unique than many other coasts in the same region which attract great numbers of international touristic movement.

The Tourism is one of the important economic sources for the many countries. For some countries, tourism represents the first source of national income. The World Travel and Tourism Council's statistics 2001 indicated that tourism for leisure purpose takes the first rank with 62% of the total world demand for tourism activities. Also, the tourism industry formed 11% of the global Gross Domestic Product and 8.2% of the total world employment. Promotion is one of the attractive methods to use such an industry either by investors or audience. The promotional means is the used by one of the most essential elements of marketing mixture on which establishments depend in marketing their services and products. In Saudi Arabia, there are many tourism establishments that provide different tourism services to the public including accommodation, entertainment, recreation ...etc. This study aims at recognizing how much these establishments would use the different marketing communication elements such as advertisements, public relations, personal selling, and sales proudion and publishing. Also, the study aims at identifying elements that would affect such establishments when using some elements of marketing communication. This Study is an exploratory study since this phenomenon never has been studied. This study is important since it tries to achieve a full understanding of the marketing communication elements, which are used in supporting the internal tourism, the theoretical and applying dimensions of marketing this communication, and the impact of such elements of the promotion effectiveness. The possibility of making impact increases largely if the promotion process depended on more than one wedium and communication means and more than one message. This study presents an important scientific and applicable dimension represented in the development of a scientific standard. Such a standard identifies how much the tourism establishments play this important role, allowing the researcher to connect between the extent of applying the marketing communication and the effectiveness of supporting the domestic tourism. In this framework, the study aims at examining how much the tourism establishments are convinced promotion, the marketing with communication role, the affecting factors, and the relation between this role and domestic tourism support. Through the study results, the researcher reached the following to conclusions as follows: -Seasonality is a main obstacle for the tourism establishment work, affecting the sales size. The tourism seasonality in the KSA is one of the most important impediments facing the development of The tourism sector in the KSA. The seasonality makes the tourism establishment raise the price of their products or services. Consequently, the local consumer not will direct towards the local tourism for comparing its prices with those of the same products in other countries. -The results showed the existence of statistical differences for the benefit of entertainment places in using the media and publicity compared to other tourism establishments. Also, there are statistical differences for the benefit of accommodation facilities in using personal selling compared to other establishments. Thus, the most commonly used marketing communication elements in tourism establishments are media, publicity, and personal selling. -The statistical tests revealed that the type of promotion means is the first factor that influences using or not using the marketing communication elements by tourism establishments. Therefore, if the tourism establishments do not have promotional plans, they will focus on a certain type of elements more than other elements. -Through statistical test, the study indicated that sales and profits have an impact on the tourism establishment's use of promotional elements with an average 4.08. Also, defining the tourism product is the third factor affecting the use of marketing communication elements with an average 4.04. The budget of the department concerned with using the promotion mix elements is the last factor with an average of 3.73. -The study proved that the marketing activity in the tourism sector needs human resources trained on promoting the tourism activities efficiency. Since it is hard to find qualified employees in this field and because the tourism sector and its marketing is new, the top management in tourism establishments was not interested in providing human resources to manage promotion at such establishments.

The concept of empowerment is one of the management techniques that is widely used as a way to deal with the requirements of global action and as a method for activating the management plans and organizational aspects in general and in tourism sector in particular. So this research aims at studying the effectiveness of empowerment in the hospitality industry in Egypt, suggesting a clear methodology of training methods and tools used for evaluating the effectiveness of empowerment. Methodology of the research depended on the Secondary data which were collected from previous studies, and The primary data collected through depth face to face interview with the front office, food and beverage, house keeping managers, in addition to training and human resources managers. Questionnaire form was distributed to a random sample employees in (25) five star hotels and resorts in Sharm El-Sheikh. The results showed that the participation of the employees in making decisions was confined to the routine and simple tasks. Empowering employee as a concept in hospitality industry relied on formal practice of empowerment, lack of employees training on making decision and resolving customers' problems. So the study recommended the necessity of increasing the employees participation in making the decisions and policies and following open door policy through the provision of adequate information and listening to complaints and problems that employees face. There must be a clear and integrated policy about empowerment. Also there is a need for designing training programs in and off the job to educate and train both managers and employees about the importance of empowerment in the hospitality industry. Also it seems necessary to find a written mechanism to evaluate the effectiveness of empowerment to the employees at close intervals and periodically. The ministry of tourism and hotel association should Support applying effective empowerment as being one of the quality limits.

The study subject “The mausoleums in Alexandria during the Islamic age” is regarded of great importance as it is spotlighting the Islamic architecture in Alexandria especially the religious architecture which is represented in mosques in particular. They are not ordinary mosques but they belong to “Awliaa Allah”. These mausoleums were made as assort of appreciation and glorification to the owners of these mausoleum in recognition of their roles in serving Islam and Muslims through teaching many things about the religion. These Islamic characters influenced the Islamic history in general and the history of Alexandria in particular as Alexandria was regarded as a center of attraction for the Muslim scientists from all over the Arabian and Islamic countries and especially Morocco. In respect of the cultural and civilizational importance of Alexandria throughout the ages, I have chosen the subject of my study “The mausoleums in Alexandria during the Islamic age starting from the fatimide age to the ottoman age”. It became clear to me through my studying to the subject that Alexandria contains only mausoleums and it doesn’t have any “Mashahid belong to A Al Beit” “the descendants of our prophet”. This study contains the most important and famous mosques in Alexandria according to the historical periods to which these mausoleums and mosques belong to Alexandria was the first city in Egypt ever since it was established by Alexander until it was conquered by the Arabs. It is characterized with its magnificent planning and the important geographical and strategically location. All these advantages were enough for Alexandria to be chosen as the second capital for Islamic .Egypt. Muslims have built many big mosque in Alexandria, which were taking as centers for the political and scientific meetings. Six mosques were built in the first century of Al Hijra: Soliman mosque, Al Khedr mosque, Zi Al Kaerain mosque, Amro Ibn Al Usse mosque and Al Manarah mosque.
